Open Studio & Fall too - Off the Wall Studio

Slowly but surely I’m adjusting to working full time.  It’s not that I don’t like working, actually I love working.  In fact, I think my friends are all tired of hearing how much I love my job.  But I do miss my studio and it I think it misses me.

Still today, finally I got a good hunk of a quiet day to get something done in there.  First it needed to be cleaned after last week’s fury of activity getting ready for Saturday’s Open Studio.  My friend Sandy, asks her favorite artisan friends to show their creations in her fab studio.  Last year we had so much fun, Paul and I joined her again.  Alas, I didn’t sell  a thing, but it was fun just soaking in being “an artist” for the day.

With the studio finally back to its clean self, I got started on Fall II.  Its amazing how it takes a good bit of time just getting into the groove of a piece - even with the design work over.  But once I got started on this one, I looked up and 4 hrs had gone by and it was time to get the princess.

I’m making a promise to myself to be more productive. I need to take Susan Lenz’s advice and make myself a schedule! (ohhh and I promise that next week I will NOT blog that I need to get more done - even I'm getting sick of hearing myself say that!)

What have you been up to creatively

Working full time myself, I understand. We simply need more hours in the day. I don't feel right unless I do at least something quilty creative each day - even if it's making a decision on how something should go. The main things that take up time are work, quilting, housework and computer social media. Guess what gets left in the trash can?

I remember how much you liked your job when we met, so I'm happy for you. I'm a little late for the linky, but I got here. I started a job (sort of) yesterday!

I am very glad that you are still taking time to create though!

I have been working non-stop creating a program for the Jr./Sr. High students at church. I didn't realize how creative I needed to be for it. But it is good. Still, my blogging has been suffering. Oh well, must needs and all that. Love the pictures!!
