Well, I did have a plan. Honest. This is my blog's 200 post and I was going to unveil two new craft projects I made for my new studio. But, this week is one big fail. Not only am I working overtime all week, but my great pinterest project didn't turn out too great. Actual it would have been fine if I planned to keep it up for a while - but not for something that will last a long while. I won't even bore you with the details or pictures - sighhhh.
Ohh and did I mention that not only did Sign, Signs not make it into the Erie show - neither did Paul's entry which I think is ridiculous since the table has such great lines. Obviously, they don't know what a creative duo we are!
I did want to mention that I am working on getting my studio all moved in and decorated. I'm going to host a big studio/workspace blog link party where you can link up posts of your work spaces (big and small - amazing and humble). The link up will be open for a year so that new people can add theirs as they go. Look for that in the next couple of weeks since I'll reveal my studio then.
Anyways - since this is Holy week and a great time for renewal - I'm sure next week will be better.
So to brighten my spirits - why don't you show me what you've been up to creatively??

Ahh, Nina Marie, take heart. You are a dynamo and I don't know how you achieve so much considering you work full time and overtime to boot. I've been wanting to compliment you on the excellent work you're doing for the "Off the Wall Friday" posts. I'm impressed by your diligence in seeking out talented newcomers and in creating a friendly forum. And what a good idea for the studio blog hop. Keep up the good work! And many thanks. nadia
Nina - I support Nadia's comments. Like you, this week I have stalled. Work, gardening (though not much - too cold by far still here), dog walking, more work, catching a chill etc.
But your Off the Wall Friday posts have been such a great way to meet other people and for other people to find me. So for that alone you deserve a medal.
I am going to make the most of today being a Bank Holiday in the UK to take stock, plan the next stage on Horizons ( I need to find a decent scanner) and sort out my next journal quilts.
I hope it is spring where you are - we are still gripped in an icy winter here.
Hilary
Hi Nina, congratulations on your 200 post. Your ideas on how to draw people together in the blog world are fantastic - off the wall friday is one that I always come back to. It's great meeting up with like minded people over the net to be inspired. I really enjoy that there are now many more people that I recognise for their work and comments. Much appreciated:)
Just relax, next week will be better!
DANG.....the good side is that you both have fabulous pieces as a result of creating entries for the exhibit! Fridays sure are more fun with your "Off The Wall" blog!
Congratulations on your 200th post! You said something last week that you really need to listen to. You talked about how Off the Wall Fridays has taken off like you never expected.
YOU did that! You made it happen. Not me! YOU.
It is amazing to me to be able to go to one place and see such incredible creativity.
May you have 200,000 more posts, because I will be there following!
glen: I am sure technology will allow me to post from my mind by then and we can use the teleporter to have sewing days together!
That 200th blog post is reason to celebrate! Thanks for all you do.
Nina Marie- Take heart in all of us who are inspired by you... your level of "fail" would be a success for many others! I'll look forward to the studio/workspace blog link party- what a great idea! Happy Easter and may you be inspired and feel successful this week.
First of all thank you for hosting off-the-wall Fridays. I look forward to checking it out every week. Glad you're having the studio blog hop up for one year . It will take me that long to clean up my studio ;-)
Nina- I have LOVED your blog and also meeting everyone at Off the Wall Fridays. You have created a real treasure. I love your ideas for the studio posts- I can't wait to see more. And I love your Signs quilt- sorry it did not make it into the show; these frustrations happen, but it is no fun. Nina, will you post more about your creation of your "signs" within SIGNs... the redwork images? I really love them. I'd love to hear in detail some of your creative process with one or all of them...
Anyway, thanks for posting your work and creating this fabulous site.
Well things do not always work out as planned, but who knows what creative path these frustrations might lead to eventually?
Thank you so much for inviting me to join in your linky...I have enjoyed so much looking at all the art. such talent. I hope you have a great week.
well, i wasn't gonna' link this week on account of i have NOTHING to take off the wall. but then i read your honest post - it made me laugh, and i thought "shoot, why not" and linked on up. can't wait to see your studio digs. i just recently got me a door. i'll explain later. have a good weekend, sugar.
Sorry about your quilt! But you are still a master quilter to me! If you want to see what I have been up to this week go to my blog...:) that is some of it. I will share my small workspace where I am trying to create something useful to the world!
