Anyways. . . .with that behind me I'm onto doing the thread work of the pine needles. I know I've read and seen how to machine embrodier but have never really tried it. I won a nice sulky thread pack last month which included all sorts of stabilizers though and they have instructions. . . . .so I'll give it a whirl!
Hopefully I can fit it in while looking at all the quilts in the Blogger's Quilt Festival - my gosh the talent out there is amazing!!!!
Check out other great design boards at Judy's Patchworks!

The second tree *really* adds dimension! It's fun to watch the progress on your quilt! :)
All the quilts in the BQF are amazing! It was rather humbling to me! I'll have to look for your entry. Happy quilting! :)
OOO! Nice Nina, keep growing :)
Looking great! Can't wait to see the next phase.
Looks better every time. great work.
Oh! I love the second tree too! This is a wonderful composition so far--can't wait to see the pine needle work. The BQF has had me sitting for many hours reading terrific quilt stories. I've enjoyed all four Festivals now!
yes -- great design. And, do use a good stabilizer it will prevent everything from jamming down the needle plate hole! Good luck.
I am always impressed when people can make art quilts and your's is no exception. I love the trees and the background is perfect. It is fun to watch it coming together, too.
The quilt looks great.
Way to go... sticking with all that hand stitching!
