Anyways - now that I got a good amount of blocks made, I've been thinking more on the set. I've decided that I want to add a hand appliqued floral basket in the center - something nice. You know what they say. . . In for a penny, In for a pound - sighhhhh. I mean, if I'm going to go traditional I might as well go traditional! Plus I'm working full time for the next 2 weeks and this will make a nice project to do at lunch and on breaks. I wanted to have more to show today, but got a allergy attack and just didn't have the energy to get back in there after spending so much time sewing the last few days. So on the agenda for this weekend is to design a nice floral basket - I'm thinkin' 3-D but we'll see - and get the blocks all joined in 4's with sashing.

Puttering with the Pretties - Off the Wall Friday
Well as with most projects, you get to a place where you put in a whole lot of time, but there doesn't seem to be a lot to show for it. Since last Friday, I've spent about 21 hours working on this quilt - making a ton of little basket blocks. To tell you the truth, I've had a really good time doing it. Its relaxing doing the same thing over and over while listening to a good book. I guess my mind needed a little break from all the creative decisions I've had to make over the last few months.

I wasn't so sure about these blocks when you first showed them to us. But I really like how the project has turned around! In for a penny, in for a pound. Hmmm, that sounds familiar!
I was delighted to see my friend, Lori DeJarnatt's, Basket Quilt on your blog. Samall world huh? I met you at the Edinboro Landscape Nursery, falling in love with your Birdhouse quilts... and then visiting you with friends. Look forward to seeing you at Sandy's Open Studio soon!
