John 4:24
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
Praise Ladies II
2013
Honestly! How could I have missed the fact that I had a good 20 hours left on this quilt? Still - it did get done. Ohhh and safely entered on time for the jury process of Sacred Threads. Really, the truth is, once I started finishing up the stitching, I decided I wanted to add much more than I originally planned. Hmmm - I don't know why - it just seemed the ladies needed a little extra attention.
So here are the stats:
- 26" by 45"
- hand dyed cotton (by me!) & organza
- machine pieced, machine quilted
- rough edge appliqued
- Poly, rayon, cotton thread
- Original design, 2nd in series
- approx 75 hrs
I'm so glad to get this done. Now onto the next deadline - Signs, Signs needs to be done by March 24th!! Ohhhh will I NEVER learn??

ReplyDeleteNina, they look really good. I loved reading your post about lines the other day and it looks like you've really cracked it. The ladies look brilliant.
ReplyDeleteOf course the sign of every good artist is their ability to make a project bigger as they get closer to the deadline. And ladies always need more attention than men. Good job on this and congratulations ahead of time.

ReplyDeleteOMG! The Ladies are incredible! And hey, finished is finished, whether it is two weeks before the deadline or one hour. Hint: the two week timeline is easier on the nerves!!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Nina! The ladies turned out beautifully! Congrats! Ready when you are for "Signs" :>)
ReplyDeleteGreat piece! I know what you mean about deadlines - and adding complexity at the last minute.
ReplyDeleteA praiseworthy piece! Great color, great lines!
ReplyDeleteWhat? I'm not the only one who procrastinated? I set myself a big goal this year of completing an entry for Sacred Threads. The first thing I've ever entered into anything. Even set myself a personal deadline of Jan. 9 to make sure I'd be done on time. And I still pulled an all-nighter right before the entry deadline to get it done!
ReplyDeleteYour Praise Ladies are wonderful!
