Signs 3 & 4 and a Make Over - Off the Wall Friday

What's the old saying that starts.  . . "The best laid plans. . . "  Sigggghhh - well that's how my day went.  When I got up this morning I had every intention of getting a little work done on the ladies today.  But I started browsing for a new hair-do's and - well - Big Mistake - 'cause an hour and a half later I had found a new hair-do - new color.

Still I didn't get any sewing done.  Then I went to my hair appointment and since I was getting a total make-over it took longer than usual.  THEN when it was done - it was the wrong color.  Now my stylist and I usually communicate quite well - but she didn't actually think I wanted to change my color from my long standing red back to a brunette.  Anyways  - to make a long story longer - it had to be re done and it all took 5 hrs!  Needless to say the ladies loved my hair but didn't get any attention from me.

But I did manage to get Sign 3 done this week and Sign 4 designed.  I really do like the stitching and I'm happy with the way the project is going.  Looking over my sign collection on pinterest, I'm really glad I took the extra time to research them properly.  They all have some interesting merit.  This week it was a statement on organized religion (along with a nice implied pun) - next its the environment.

I only have to work a half day on Friday  - so I'll try to show the ladies some love then.  I really do want to get the top done for Monday so I can get it sandwiched and quilted.

My New do?? I chose a brown that has a bit of an ombre effect-so it gradates out later to the ends.  I mean gosh -we dye fabric that way-why can't we dye our hair?

So what have you been doing creatively?

Your signs are looking fabulous! Miscommunication is the worst - especially when it equals so much valuable time. Your hair does look lovely though!

Your hair does look lovely! It reminds me of a child's whose hair starts out fair and if not cut will be lighter on the ends than at the scalp! The most recent sign - a very chilling sign of the times.

Looks good!
I guess I am not going to manage this weekend, I have been fighting a bad head off and on. But maybe I can make a head start for next week once it eases off.

PS Do you ever wish there was a way to take your head off and wash it out and put it back on?
Yeah, silly question. ;0)
